Plaintiff is a 25 year old Nassau County man who was working as a laborer at a construction site inside of a large mall. A 30 foot container that was being hoisted by a crane dislodged and fell to the ground causing a railroad timber to strike Plaintiff’s left lower leg causing a crush injury and multiple fractures. Plaintiff underwent multiple surgeries but ultimately is back to work. After Plaintiff was deposed, the case settled at mediation for $1,000,000.
